Chapter 5 - Summer Reading Challenge

This summer I'm taking part in Chapter 5's Summer Reading Challenge. It's been 2 weeks now since I started the challenge and there are still 4 to go, but I wanted to share with you some of the books I plan to read and also how I'm doing so far.

So this is my sheet as it stands! 


The idea of the Challenge is to get people reading, and it' very simple to get involved yourself! Simply CLICK HERE and download your own challenge sheet. 
Chapter 5 gives you 12 different categories and you have to pick one book to read that falls into that little cubby hole. Then simply tick them off as you go along. 
You DON'T have to read all 12 books! To be in for a chance to win all you have to do is complete 5 of the books you picked and share your completed form on our Facebook page or on Twitter using the hashtag‪ #‎Chapter5Summer‬

Closing Date is the 31st August 2014 & UK Only!

DAY 7 #boutofbooks Challenge


Lovelies it's the last day of Bout of Books! How you holding up? This is the last challenge of the week and it's just a little bit of fun. Today's post is organised by Oh Magic Hour and here's what we have to do...

For this, your final mini-challenge of the readathon, I thought it would be fun if we all tried to come up with a new title for our current read, or really anything we’ve read during this Bout of Books 10.0.  For me, a great title can really go a long way toward making me want to read a book and I thought it would be fun to play with that concept a little bit.  Your new title can be something you ACTUALLY think would make a good title, or just something descriptive or something funny!  It’s totally up to you!

Got it? Okay, lets begin! 



So you know those books that have really long, descriptive titles, where it's more like a blurb than a title? You know like The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out His Window And Disappeared... I mean, try saying that 3 times faster!


I read The Geography of You and Me towards the beginning of the week and I though it would be a fun one to rename. I was going to try and be serious but I thought I'd try to be ironic... I warn you, this could fail miserably! 

So my new titles for this little beaut are:

How NOT to Pick Up Guys in an Elevator

 When the Postman Knows More About Your Relationship Than You Do.

How to End a Year Exactly How You Started It

Why Date a Real Guy When You Can Date A Postcard?


So what did you read this week? And if you had to rename that book what would it be? PS. Really not as easy as you think!

Rainbow Books #boutofbooks


Hello, hows you're Bout Of Books going lovelies? It's DAY 5 and we have a new challenge to be getting on with. Today's it just a little bit of fun, that entailed messing up my book shelf! Today's challenge was set by Neon Yeti Reads!


Here’s your challenge: Create a stack of book spines from your bookshelf, or post pictures of the covers, that go in rainbow order!

Day 4 #boutofbooks Challenge


Happy Thursday AKA Day 4 of Bout of Books! Today's challenge is from the lovely Kimberlyfayer Reads. So this is what we have to do - Use the first letter in any book you’ve read or want to read to spell out a word. You can choose first name, initials, your birthday month, or your zodiac sign. Thoughts: I'm really happy that I was able to finish Stupid Girl & get my review up! I wasn't planning on taking part in the challenge but it was a nice little break from reading, and also quite fun. I would still have liked to read more... but I have a feeling I could read a whole book and I'd still wish I had done more so. On to day 3!

 Thoughts: Well I guess it was inevitable after being happy with what I read yesterday that today I would have a bit of a lull! I wanted to read 200 pages but I think I can make it up tomorrow. Although I think my 5 book challenge make be a little on the tight side - half way through the week and just under half way through my book list. But I guess we'll see.

Happy with what I read today. Still going to be tight to fit two books in over the weekend up I'm over the moon that I've read as much as I have, really put a dent in my review pile. Also the challenge today was really fun - even if it did mean messing up one of my bookshelves. If I could put up with not have a series together I think I'd have my books in rainbow order in future... unfortunately I can't. Mild OCD when it comes to my books. On to DAY 6! Can't believe the weeks almost over!
